The Junior Championship.
(IIV "BLUE AND GOLD.")
The Junior Championship of 1902 has been won by the newly formed Gladstone Club, with a record of 4 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw. The Gladstone Club arc to be congratulated on annexing the championship at their first attempt. The enthusiasm and good spirit shown by the Gladstone "boys" deserve the reward obtained, and to their captain (" Alf." Booth), " Hughie" Mitchell, " George " Whitcnian, and the ladies of Gladstone, a special word of praise is due for the energetic way in which they worked for the Club. On the field the Gladstone "boys " always contested the game in a friendly spirit, and off the field did their best to entertain a visiting team, and in this respect the Masterton Juniors are specially indebted to them.
