Thomas Galloway, wheu formally charged with wife-murder, appeared iu Court witb a slight abrasion on one side of bis face and a very black m- . .. The pd mortem examination shows that deceased received heavy blows about the head, presumably with an iron weapon. The base of the skull is badly smashed. Mrs Galloway's spectacles and scissors were found under the front window, where the glass had beon trampled down.
