—♦—— GASLIGHT DISPLAY.

The W.F.C.A. last evening had a most elaborate gaslight display in every department and a large rminberj.'HE people inspected the splendid exhibrfe of drapery, millinery, clothing, grocery, guns and ammunition.

The windows were most attractively dressed, giving ample proof that the W.F.C.A. possesses capable and experienced hands in each section of the big business. The show of autumn, drapery was most artistic, and Mr H.. Wickett had spared no pains io place: the beautiful goods so that their reall worth could bo easily seen. The French models of millinery and mantles looked very charming, as also did tho linr of dress goods, trimmings, hats, ete%Iu tho gentlemen's clothing an* mercery branch a very special assortment of hats, ties, cycling and general hosiery elicited most favourable comment from the sterner sex and orders for these particular lines ought to flow in to the W.F.C.A.

The wholo stock now being shovels: new and selected with exceptional So: from the best London and Paris houses;, and places before the residents of Mas. terton and district goods as fashionable, as low iu price and in as great a yariet* as one might obtain at any city home.X The grocery department Mr S. Ralph succeeded in bringing well to tho fore, and an assortment of teas and brilliantly • labelled tinned-goods.tastefully mounted on stands with a fow artificial flowers to add an additional charm to tho window attracted considerable notice. Prominent, among those commenting on the displaywere a number of sportsmen whosespecial fascination was the exhibit, oEHollis' guns and general ammunition,' The shooting seaionis now close at hand, and those who have not yet seen thi sshow window would do well to do so at, an early date.

Taking it as a whole, the display deserves a special word of praiseAd it, would bo difficult indeed to belf tha W.F.CVs fine display of last night,
