The Customs officials discovered that a number of cases of Wolff's Schnapps by the Elingamite from Sydney havo been tampered with. A bottle of spirits had been abstracted from each case, and other cases of spirits had three or four flasks retuoyed. The cases wero so cleverly closed that no external marks d pilfering could be seen. The thfft had evidently been done in the docks or on the voyage out.
