Messrs Lowes and lores report :-At our fovmighty stock salo on Thursday the holidays and racing had tbo effect of dimiuisbiug the entries and affecting the attendance somowliat; however, tho yarding in sheep was a very (air one, both as regards numbers and classes. Fills in short supply, bidding lor most lots was fairly brisk, but several lines were passed, mostly selling afterwards. In beef wo had Bomovery good quality, both ox and cow; all selling. In stores wo pnintd all classes and succeeded in quitting nearly every lino, sorao very poor wsaners only (ailing to sell. Daiiy stock were dull of sale. No pigs came forward. Messrs John Mowlem and Co. report on their Pabiatua stock, held yesterday, as follows:—Entries did not come in up to advertised numbers, owing, no doubt, to the wretched stalo of the wcathor. Some good sortß of cattle wcro yarded, the majority of which found purchasers at enrrent rates.
