PUBLIC SWIMMING BATHS.
[to the editor,]
Si i!,—Some time ago the question of Public Swimming Baths cropped up at a meeting of the Town Lands Trustees.. I hope the matter is not to be allowed to drop altogether, for good swimming baths would certainly be a boon, and the Trustees might deyote a little money to a far worse object. Some time ago Palmerston North went in forswimining baths and the work was carried out under tlio direction of Mr It. Edwards, architect and sanitary engineer. They have proved a thorough success, and visitors to Palmerston speak in the highest terms of these baths. Would it not be an easy matter, if the Trustees have any serious thoughts of taking tho thing up, to get Mr Edwards to givo a report on tho best method of erecting baths .and the probable cost ?—I am, elc., Simos Sanitahv.
