An inquest on tho skeleton found in tho garden of the Larches at Winton, subsequent to the discovery of two infant bodies in connection with " which Charles aud Minnie Dean are charged with murder, was opened c this afternoon. Sergeant McDonnell said a number lof mothers of the children given to ■ Mrs Deau about the timo she received the one on whoso body tho inquest was being held, would require to be present, and bo asked for an adjournment, It was believed - that the mother of the deceased was now in Dunedin, and she will have j to appear. Evidence would bo t adduced concerning the disappear- ( ance of other children, t The inquest was adjourned to June sth.
