The Piuixtua Jockey Hub hold their annual meeting on Friday PAen:ng. Mr Bolton was elected Pieaidontand Mr Towvill Vice-president. A strong Committee were appointed for itbe ensuing year. A un-mber of the club was alto selected to attend the Melropo'iian Club and tirgo the ciiiins of tlie Fnhiu'ini Club for a license to uso the tolahsator and the passing of the picg.amme. Should these applications be favourably received, a prognmimo will be published immediately, and arrange,mi nts made for a race m* feting in November. An eklotly man lutneri Biwn was found dead near the Maiiawatufitidge, nn i lie Pcbi?tua side of the river, ou Saturday list, the cmise of his death, wording to Dr Milne,, being heart disease.
