I CiimsicJioiiCH, Monday. A meeting was held in the Squtiro on Saturday evening, re the Direct Veto, and was attended by 1,200 perjons. The following resolution was carried: " That this meeting heartily approves of Sir Robert Stout's proposedamendment lo the Licensing Act, believing it lo be consistent with the spirit of true Liberalism and that the people should iia\o power to vote for the decrease or extinction of licenses,"
