The annual general meeting of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held on Saturday evening last, the chair being occupied by Mr F. Gray, President of the Society.
I The Routes of the last annual meeting were resd and confjrraed. The report and balance sbjeqt read by the Secretary (Mr W. Sellar) ghow,ed the year's receiptß to be £159 anc} the cspenditqre £145 15s lid. The year's transactions had been rery satisfactory, inasmuch as the bank overdraft was now reduced to £2O.

Messrs W. McKeniie, A, D'Arcy, W. Watson, R. Gray and Simeon wero proposed for membership. It was resolved to request Mr John. Morris junr, to reconsider his resigna lion. ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
On the motion of Mr JR. Cameron, seconded by Mr JT. Gray, Mr Alex Stewart was ekdted President. Mr A> Jiilkina proposed and Mr F.
Gray seconded, that Mr R. Cameron be re-electedVice-President.— Carried Mr W. Sellaf was unanimously re» elected Secretary to the Society. The following gentlemen were elected directors Messrs F. W. Hogg moved a vob of thanks to the reliriur officers, speaking in complimentary teruis of the Presi« dent and the general conduct of the Society during the past year. Mr F. Gray returned thanks on his own oehalf aud on behalf of the other office bearers, stating that his only regret was that the overdraft had not been completely wiped out. It was decided that the Programme Commit'ee meet on Saturday evening next at half past six, and that a general meeting be held on the Bftme day at 8 p.m. This being all the business the meeting closed.
