Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Association.
A 'meeting of the Wairarapa and East Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society was held at Carterton on Saturday last. Present: Mr H. E, Bunny President, Mr Jas. Stuckey, VicePresident, and about 20 members; >'frs The report and balance sheet ujtre : read and adopted. Mr Booth {jested that if those members who are in arrear would pay up their subscriptions and those who are not in arrear would pay in advance, the Society would be able to clear off its overdraft ut the bank. Mr H. 1. Bunny, in speaking of the report and balance sheet, hoped that the incoming com* mitte would do everything in their power to make the Society all that - il deserves to be. It was suggested that the mortgage on the Society's grounds be paid off by borrowing - the amount from tho Wairarapa Permanent Investment and Loan Society, According to the rules, live members of the Committee had to be ballotted out but were eligible for re-election. The' elected ones were Messrs H. R. Bunny, H, H. Beetham, F. Monckton. B, Boys, and W. B. Allen; Mr A, Matthews was elected President; Mr. W. 0. Buchanan, W. Booth re-elected Treasurer, tad Mr F, W. B. Seed, Auditor.
