His first season on the turf, he won tho Flying Handicap at Marlborough, with Bst 41bs up, also Sporting Handicap at samo meeting Bst, and after a serving season won County Cup at Kaikoura, H miles, with lOsfc up, and won Consolation Handicap at Ucefton same season; also ran second to Orlando for Maiden Plato at Nelson, w.f.n, ;at Wairarapa Spring Meeting, 82-3, was second to Kakapo Bst lOlbs for County Handicap, and wou Maiden Stakes 9st 21b8, beating Makora, First Water, and six others; at Island Bay ho was second to Rewi, welter w.f.a., also at same mooting rau second to Camellia.
