THE IMPERIAL MEETING.

What a nice entertainment (says a Home paper) Francis Joseph appears to have prepared for Alexander of Russia. These two dread sovereigns met for thirty hours at Kremsier, and to be in readiness for that meeting there were, says a correspondent, sent from Vienna 400 sumptuous beds with bedding, 60 Court carriages, 90 horses, 300 complete breakfast services, 10,000 wine glasses and as many plates, 150 dozen of champagne, 200 dozen of claret, 100 dozen of Rhine wine, 10 hampers of liqueurs, and 500 ft of wax candles to give the Emperors and their suites light while they sat up to dispose of the champagne. Besides the drink and candles, there were numberless other good things in profusion. On the arrival of the train conveying the Royal party to Kraiwier, the military band in waiting struck up the Russian anthem, flie t Australian Emperor helped the Czarina from her carriage. She at once advanced to greet the Austrian .Empress, to whom the Czar bowed and kissed her hand. The Grand Duchess Marie Paulovna also kissed the Austrian Empress, after which the Ladies in Waiting were presented, and the two Monarchs turned to inspect the Honorary Company on guard at the station. According to a correspondent, the Empress Elizabeth looked wonderfully well, wearing a dress of brown lace and satin velvet jacket trimmed with fur. The Czarina, a Princess of great person beauty, of rather smaller stature than the Empress Elizabeth, wore the favorite colors of the Austrian Empress, that is to say, a dovecolored satin robe trimmed with pink, The Grand Duchess Maria Paulovna is a lady of fascinating beauty, Tho reception at the station lasted twenty minutes, The two Emperors then drove in a Court carriage, drawn by four horses, to the castle, amidst the cheers of the assembled multitude, In the second four-horse carriage were the two Empresses; next came tho Russian Heir to the throne, with tlie Grand Duchess, the Austrian Crown Prince, and the Grand Duke George, Then followed the Archduke Karl Ludwig, with the Grand Duke Vladimir and suite; M. de Giers with Prince Lobkovitz bringing up the rear,
