Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under years of ago travel free; abovj three and under twelve years of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, &c—The Railway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train, but when sent they must bo at the forvr.udin« station lialf-an-hourbeforetho deputise of the Train. The owners of horses must provide means for securing them in the horsebox, and (he Railway Department will not bo accountable for any injury sustained through their bi caking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions forhorse boxes or carriagetrucks must be nude the day before they aro wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the owner must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of tbo journey, before the dot; is delivered, Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the Ordinary Time Table is suspended, Parcels and Goods forPipitea, Kaiwarra, Ngahaurangn, Belmont, Hayward's, Silver Stream, Wallaoevillo, Summit, Cross' Creek, Pigeon Bush, Fernside, Woodside, and at Flag Stations, must be Prepaid, aud will be put out on the platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee, Special Notice—To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs must be at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of departure of Train, The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, and in the event of any cirsurnstance3 arising cither during or prior to the journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to pro. ceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the passengers, Luggage.—Each passenger is allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggage free (not in eluding merchandise of any kind), and for every 501bs above this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the chargo will be One Shilling, No luggage will be allowed to be taken into the carnages, unless of such a size that it can bo placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers, Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Na.ncs and the station to which they aro proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. _ Parcels and Goods—From the above Sta tions can be made " To Pay" at Wellington Potoni, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoko Featherscon, Greytown, Carterton, and Ma terton.
