WAIRARAPA JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the Stewards of the abovfc Club was held at the Olub Hotel, Master' ton, oil Saturday evening, when it was resolved to'' ask flis Excellency, Sir Arthur Gordon to become patron of the Olub.

In response* to a'telegram from the Manager of Railways, the secretary, was dir'eoted to state that if the ordinary 1,30 train from Masterton wnb delayed till 4.45 p.m., this would enable visitors from Wellington to return'after the races if desired."
