SENTENCES AT NEW PLYMOUTH. Per Press Association —Copyright. NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. In the Supreme Court this morning the Chief Justice gave the following sentences: — James Mullally, breaking, entering, theft, and receiving, two years’ detention in the Borstal Institute. Samuel Patrick White, receiving stolen goods, 2 years in the Borstal Institute. Leonard Michael White, breaking, entering, theft and receiving, two years in the Borstal Institute. The Whites are to be sent to separate institutions. Rami Watson, negligent driving of motor lorry so as to cause death was imprisoned till the rising of the Court. Louis Albert Sarten, negligent driving of motor lorry so as to cause death, was fined £2OO, in default six months’ imprisonment. In this case Watson was the employee of Sarten and drove the lorry at night without lights under the instructions of Sarten. Thomas Martin pleaded guilty to two charges of incest and was remanded till for sentence.
