FRIENDLY SOCIETIES
M.U. 1.0.0. F DISTRICT OFFICERS VISIT WAIMATE. The Provincial Grand Master (Bro. W. H. Hindi) and the District Officers, accompanied by forty members of the Loyal Timaru Lodge (including five ladies) paid an official visit to the Loyal Heart of Friendship Lodge, Waimate, last evening. During the evening, P.G. Bro. J. V. Riach, gave the (First Degree lecture to two Waimate members and eight visitors. Past Grand’s jewels xvere presented to P.G. Bros. W. IL Hindi, A MeLauchlan, and C. J. Averis, who suitably returned thanks. The. visitors were entertained to supper, after which a pleasant social hour xvas spent.
The Waimate Lodge welcome the visits from District Officers and other Lodges, as it tends to increase the interest of members in the. Lodge. Last evening xvas the first time that women have taken part in such visits, and, it is hoped, not the last.
