CORRESPONDENCE.

CARNIVAL

Sir, —The preparation of the statement of receipts and payments in connection with the Carnival is in my hands. A progress statement was submitted to the Executive, whieh consists of representatives from eaeh of the bodies associated with the Carnival, at their first meet ing held after the Carnival closed. It must be as obvious to “Stick to it” as it is to the Executive that the Carnival function must be concluded before final accounts can be submitted and we have yet to carry through the Coronation ceremony on July sth.—l am, etc. T. E. PARRY. Treasurer Carnival Executive. Sir,—lt is understood that the crowning ceremony in connectoin with the recent carnival is to be held on sth July. 1.4 it not highly desirable that this function should be abandoned and a portion of the good money taken, thus saved? Further, why ask a public that has already responded well, to “dip” once again for the same cause. —I am, etc., “ENOUGH OF IT.”
