What is believed to be the greatest mail-bag robbery in history was discovered in London when the American mail by the Leviathan was being sorted. Though the seals were intact the registered letters and packages were found cut and riddled. About one hundred bags out of 3,253 bags had been tampered with. The amount involved cannot be ascertained until the losses are reported.
