I he Australian Olympic t.am arrives on June 14, and will stay at Onslow i Court Hotel, in a quiet area, of j South Kensington, within ten minutes of Hyde Park. This is as central as possible for training purposes. Captain Vicary Horniman says accommodation for the team, in which so many sports are represented. He is especially anxious to avoid too many hard pavements for walking exercise. He says the cyclists will probably train at Herne Hill, the athletes at that it has been difficult to arrange Stamford Bridge, and the swimmers at the various clubs in London. There is no shortage of gymnasium facilities. The team leaves for Amsterdam on July 16, where accommodation has been arranged an hour’s journey from the'stadium, at a private hotel, formerly the residence of a member of the Prussian nobility. The Australians have the hotel almost- to themselves. The park-dike grounds afford every adjunct for developing physical condition, in pleasant surroundings. Private char-a-bancs will convey the athletes and swimmers to the stadium, where they will practice. but Pearce (sculler) will have to go to Amsterdam to practise in the (iinal, where the Olympic races will he rowed, only two rowers being allowed at the same time.
