New Band Conductor, Mr C. T. Morgan, solo cornet for the Kaikorai Band (Dunedin) and also professional solo cornet tor the Dunedin City Tramway Band, has been .appointed Conductor o the Waimate Silver Band. Mr Morgan was .a member of the famous Newcastle Steel Works Band and toured England, South Africa and Australasia with it. He commenced with 59 raw recruits (boys of 14 years and upwards) and on February 1 I last the Band made its public appearance playing two hymns > and an exercise on the programme , of the adult Tramway Band.
