Anzac Day will be observed strict ly as a Sunday at the Waimate Post Office and no mails will be despatch ed or received. A counter delivery of all correspondence will be made between 7 and 8 p.m. on Saturday 23rd. April.

No pictures will be shown n Waimate on Monday, Anzac Day.

The Waimate Collie Club’s annual trials will be held at “Te Waimate,” Gorge Road, commencing on Wednesday, April 27.

During the Easter holidays there were encamped at the Main School, Timaru, sixty-seven members of the Canterbury Young Women’s Met-b odist Bible Class Union. The Chief Officer of the camp was Miss Lorna Hodder, Travelling Organiser, for the Young Women’s B.C. mov--■'lent, amd under her able leadership the girls in camp spent a happy and profitable time. This camp was one of twenty-one held at various places throughout the Dominion to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Methodist Young Women s B.C. movement, and on rhe Saturday evening a mock banquet was held in honour of the occasion, a number of Timaru friends being guests. The camp programme kept one and all well occupied, providing as it did for sports, study circles, addresses by leaders, camp concerts, and on Monday afternoon an excursion to Mt: Horrible.
