The usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Heart of Friendship Lodge No. 5859, was held in the Foresters’ Hall on Tuesday, sth April, at 8 p.m. ■there being a good atendance of members. N.G. Bro. M. Ward presid-. ed. After the confirmation of the minutes and the corespondence dealt with the accounts amounting to £7B were passed for payment. The delegates to the District Meeting held at Morven on 24th March gave a lengthy report of the business transacted and congratulated the Lodges showing a surpflt's, Loyal Timaru having applied to appropriate £l9OO for transfer to other funds. The report of the delegates to the Friendly Societies’ Council showed that everything was well forward for a successful sports meeting on Easter Saturday anff members were reminded to be at. the Post Office in time to take part in the procession Four candidates were proposed for membership and it was agreed that the past officers work the Lodge at next meeting and also confer degrees The Lodge closed with the usual loval sentiments.
