A NARROW ESCAPE

FROM BEING DECAPITATED.

LADY AVIATOR’S EXPERIENCE.

(Per Press Association —Copyright)

LONDON, April 8

Lady Bailey, wife of the South African millionaire. Sir Abe Bailey, and one of the few society women possessing an air pilot’s certificate, had a remarkable escape at Stag Lane aerodrome.

She was tuning up her machine for a short solo flight when she stepped too near the propeller aud was struck on the head, which was injured. If she had been a few inches nearer Lady Bailey would almost certainly have been decapitated.
