SYDNEY, April 7. Wheat is selling at 4s_sJd at country stations, 5s Id ex-trucks at Sydney. Flour, for export £ll 7s 6d f.0.b., local £l2 ss. Oats, Tasmanian, white 4s 3d and 4s 4d, Algerian 4s and 4s Id, inferior 3s 9d. Maize, yellow 7s 9d, white 7s 6d. Potatoes, Tasmanian £6 10s to £B. Onions, Victorian £5 10s to £6.. ADELAIDE, April 7. Wheat, growers’ lots 4s lid to ss, parcels nominally 5s 2d. Flour, bakers’ lots £l3. Oats, 2s 4d. GENERAL ITEMS. LONDON, April 7. The “Financial Tinies” states that the rest of the Australian loan lists have closed. The underwriters are expecting to be left with a fair proportion of issue. TOKIO, April 6. The Japanese Press Association announces that the Suzuki Company, controlling sixty or seventy large subsidiary companies, with a total capital and liabilities of half a bililon, has announced temporary suspension of business for adjustment. LONDON, April 6.

The “Financial News” reviewing the Australian loan maturities in 1927 discusses exhaustively the question of New York borrowing. The paper mentions fears in London financial circles that this will in some way assist American trade with Australia at the expense of British trade. The writer recommends that every effort should be made to retain the business here, but admits that as Australia must bo a heavy borrower, careful management will be necessary if her wants are to be ,at a low jjost,
