(Per Press Association —Copyright SYDNEY, April 7. The body of a young woman named Beatrice Money, who arrived from New Zealand on Tuesday, was found in the harbour. She had been in ill health for some time. SYDNEY, April 7. The Lord Mayor, Mr Mos'yn, who is also an assistant secretary of the Electrical Trades Union, has been suspended by that organisation from the latter office for welcoming the Duke and Duchess of York “with all pomp and splendour of mediaeval ages, and in defiance of a mandate from the Trade, and Labour Council.” SYDNEY, April 7. The President of the Electrical Trades Union states that Mr Mostyn has not been suspended from the assistant secretaryship. The motion in favour of suspension was moved, but he ruled that as it involved serious and drastic action against an official, notice would have to be given before the matter was decided. It therefore stands as a notice of motion tor discussion at the next nicuthly meeting. SYDNEY. April 7. A prisoner named Herbert Stanley made a sensational escape from Darlinghurst Court House. He was brought from prison to receive sentence, and was waiting in the corridor below the dock, when he obtained permission from a constable o visit the lavatory. Failing his return, it was discovered that the prisoner had made his way up into an adjoining empty court, through a, trap-door in the dock, which had inadvertently been left open. Thence he reached the street, and got clean away.
This is Stanley’s fourth escape from custody, he having twice jumped .from moving trains.
