BAY CARNIVAL
THE WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS. FIREWORKS DISPLAY TO-NIGHT Waimate people who have visited the Caroline Bay Carnival at Timaru say it is like the Dunedin Exhibition amusement park on a miniature scale. This week-end, which signalises the .closing of the Carnival, the new attractions arranged will make the fixture more than ever like the big exhibition. To-night (New Year’s Evq) a grand fireworks display by Wainono Park Fireworks, Ltd., is being staged on the Bay at 11.30; and Waimate folk who take advantage of the trip arranged to leave here at 10 p.m. per Conlan’s ’bus will be able to see this magnificent spectacle. The carnival will be continued, day and night, on New Year’s Day, Sunday (concert programmes), and Monday. Special arrangements have been made to provide amusements for the kiddies. Particulars of each day’s events are given by advertisement to-day. . v .
