At the annual meeting of the Indian National Congress, the president, Mr Srinivasa Iyengar Madrassi, a politician, called for the mobilisation of All forces to issue a demand for the revision of the Government of India Act, with a- view to establishing full responsible Government in India. He claimed that the result of the elections constituted an unmistakable endorsement of this demand. He confessed that the vision of Swaraj became somewhat dim with the dust of internal strife, this being an allusion to the gravity of the Hindu-Moslem quarrels.
