WEDDING.

HODGES—McINTYRE A wedding of considerable interest to Wailua te readers was celebrated in Trinity Church, Timaru on December 23rd, when Nancy, eldest daughter of Mrs H. Mclntyre, Timaru was married to George, second son of Mr. and Mrs C. Hodges, “The Hills”, Waiinate. The Rev. Adam .Begg, of Highfield performed the marriage ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her cousin, Mr. John itliite, of Dunedin, looked most charming in a gown of white crepe-de-chene embossed with sprays of silver. Her softly-flowing veil of embroidered tulle was arranged from a coronet of orang? blossoms, and she carried a bonquet of choice white flowers. Miss Margaret Mclntyre, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid. She were a picturesque frock of apricot-coloured embroidered georgette. Her hair was bound by a filet of silver leaves. Smart, 'Waimate, an old friend of the bride, officiated at the organ. The wedding breakfast was held in the Stafford Rooms. A large, number of relatives and friends were present—guests having travelled from the North Island and from Southland to be present. Mrs Mclntyre, received her guests wearing a very handsome gewn of black satin duchesse trimmed with black georgette and relieved with touches of cyclamen. A chic black satin hat with cyclamen trimmings and a bouquet to tone completed the costume. Mrs Hodges, mother of the bride groom, wore a becoming ensemble suit in an attractive shade >f bois de rose, with a picture hat m the same cplour. The young couple were the recipients of many telegrams and a great number of handsome presents and cheques. Mr and Mrs George Hodges left by motor for the north, the bride j wearing a dainty vieux rose ensem- I ble suit, with a floral crepe-de ' chene frock and a crinoline hat toi match.
