DOMINION PREMIERS.

ACTIVITIES ABROAD. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) PARIS, December 23. Mr Coates, in an interview, expressed pleasure with his trip to France. Questioned regarding the New Zealander’s attitude to Locarno, Mr Coates recalled the jcint motion of the Dominion Prime Ministers at the Imperial Conference, congratulating the British Government on its efforts to secure an agreement. He added that New Zealand put the Empire first, as she was grateful to the Motherland for her assistance during infancy. She was assuming wider responsibilities-, but did not ferget her debt of gratitude. New Zealand’s policy in the past had been to seek all the facts to enable her to judge the position. If the Motherland found herself obliged to honour a pledge. New Zealand would again be found assisting her.
