The bride’s prese.nt to the bridegroom was a Kaiapoi rug. They left amidst showers of confetti for the North express en route for Gisborne, their future home. During the afternoon, the guests enjoyed a saunter through the beau tiftfl grounds of “Stonewall,” and were entertained with songs by Miss Mitchell, Mrs Rouse and Colonel Strong. Towards evening the “call of the farm” caused many to take their departure, and all congratulated Mr and Mrs Milne on the great success of their function.
