King Ferdinand, who has now left his sick bed, pathetically replying to loyal messages from deputations of the Senate and Chamber, said he was pravini' for Strength to continue the task' of securing the country’s constitutional foundations, so that, when I am gone, the people of a patriotic spirit will lead Roumania in the path of peace and progress. Your homage to the Queen, for services she rendered to her country, while in America, is well merited.”
