FIRE BRIGADE DEMONSTRATION The statement of receipts and expenditure for the Fire Brigades* Demonstration held in IA r aimate is very satisfactory, and shows that the Waimate Fire Brigade has, as a resuflt £37 14s 5d in hand, made up of £23 12s 5d profit on the demonstration and fireworks display, £lO from the Fire Brigades’ Association, and £4 2s entrance fees. The receipts for the display and demonstration amounted to £214 0s 9d, including £66 12s 6d gate takings at the fireworks display and £47 12s 9d gate takings at the demonstration. The expenditure totalled £l9O/8/4, leaving profit of £23/12/5 At the wind-up meeting the Silver Band was voted the sum of £7 for their services.
