(Per Press Association —Copyright.' SYDNEY, December 20. The State Parliament which has been called together for the purpose, of passing supply, was opened by Commission to-day. As soon as opportunity offered. Mr Bevin moved: “That in view of the fatft that four months had been granted under a definite promise from the Premier that Parliament would be dissolved within that period, the House regards the action of the Government :in calling members together, as" a grave breach of faith, rendering the Government unworthy of the confidence of members.” Various speakers attacked the Government for its breach of faith, and after a short debate the motion was negatived bv 46 to 42. Mr Loughlin voted with the Opposition, and Messrs Goodin and Gillies with the Government. When the House went into Committee of Supply, the Opposition commenced obstructive tactics, raising numerous points of order. Mr Lang re-submitted his Budget proposals. He said that later a small tax on publications and limitation on the main roads grant would be submitted. Mr Bevin accused the Premier of securing the help «f two men who had earned the contempt of every decent man in the community, and declared that there was not a man in the House, or the country, who would accept the Premier’s word about anything. The methods by which the Government had kept itself in office would disgrace any collection of cardsharpers. SYDNEY, Dec| 20. Loughlin states that he cannot accept the Ministry’s contention that it is entitled to go back on the specific undertaking given to Parliament to have an election within four months, and therefore he will vote against the Government.
