DANCE AT WAITUNA. [ovn OWN COBHESPOXDENTJ On Friday evening last, a very enjoyable danee was held in Waituna Schoolroom, in aid of St. John’s Ambulance. It was a lovely evening, and a very fair crowd gathered together, in spite of two other dances being held the same evening in surrounding districts. Music was supplied by Miss V. Leonard, extras being played by Mrs W. Murphy.
Among those present were :Mesdames Mehrtens, Hunter, Smith, Robinson, Howe, Attewell, Tussauds Misses O’Neill (2), Howe (2), John son, Northeote, Hunter, Fitzmaurice, Attewell (2), Robinson (2), Court. Patterson, and others; Messrs Petterson (2), Hunter (3), Howe (2), Englebrecht, Mehrten, Murphy, Robinson (3), Quinn, O’Neil, Wilson (2), Smith (2), Attewell, Anderson (2), Fraser, Eden, Campbell, etc. Mr R. D. Smith carried out the duties of M.C. in his usual efficient manner, assisted by Mr Wilson. The singing of Auld Lang Syne brought a pleasant evening to a close in the small hours of the morning.
