LOCAL MARKET REPORT. The Waimate Auction Company report holding the usual weekly sale in the Mart on Saturday of furniture, pigs, poultry, etc. There was a big entry of pigs, and prices'were easier. Poultry was in good demand The following are ruling prices:—Pigs.—Weaners 21s t,o 255; good stores 33s to 46s 6d. Poultry.—Old hens Is to Is 6d, cockerels 2s to 3s each, good laying hens 2s 6d to 3s each; ducks 5s 6d pair Produce.—Potatoes Is to 18s per sack, whole fowl wheat 18s to 20s per sack, seconds 15s to 17s. DUNEDIN MARKET REPORT. Messrs Bray Bros., of Dunedin), Ltd., report as follows for the week: The chaff market is practically bare of good, bright, oaten sheaf. Fowl wheat is in short supply. Consignments of North Island potatoes uro meeting with a good demand from 3d to per lb., which is about T3O per ton. Old potatoes 'aro very slow of sale, [reds £6 to £6 10s and whites £9 to £lO. The outlook is not bright for farmers who are holding any quantity of old potatoes. Vegetables are arriving freely. Cabbages have dropped in value but cauliflowers are selling at high rates. Christchurch tomatoes and pherries are arriving in splendid con dilion, and aro selling (readily. Central Otago cherries and strawberries are coming to hand. LONDON FALLOW MARKET. The local branch of the Bank of New Zealand has received the follow ing advice from theiir London Office Under date 14th November: — Tallow.—there is a good demand.
