il'er Press Association—Copyright). NEW YORK, Feb. 5. Four deaths reported are due to wood alcohol poisoning, and a fifth person is dying.—A. and N.Z. Cable. WASHINGTON, Feb. 5. Japanese, Chinese, and low caste Hindoos will be excluded from the United States under a Bill which the House Immigration Committee adopted. The committee is convinced that it is justified in excluding Japanese, since the Supreme Court decision which decided that Japanese could not become citizens of the United States. WASHINGTON, Feb. 5. The House Immigration Committee adopted a two per cent, immigration quota, the provision based on the 1890 census. The provision, however, may make many exceptions, which probably will permit the admission ct as many immigrants as the present three per cent. law. The Senate passed a Bill to admit 25,000 Armenian children to the United States. The measure also admits between 5000 and 6000 Armenian adults, in excess of the quota allowed under the Immigration Law.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
