TO-MORROW’S RACES

DUNEDIN J.C. MEETING. “LEGER’S” FORECAST. This meeting opens on Wednesday with promise of good fields and with fine weather interesting contests may be expected. The field for the Autumn Hurdles consists of nine made up of some untried, some moderate and some fair jumpers. Staff Officer at his best would have accounted for the race. Mazama will probably win, with Claverhouse and Glenshine handy. Boughleen Dhoun, King Sol and Bonny Olive may be prominent at the finish of the Trial Stakes. Will Oakland should give a good account of himself in the Publicans’ Handicap, with Listening Post and Kerb handy. Probably Dame Straitlace, Warhaven and Adjutor may be the pick in the President’s Handicap. The Cup will probably be won by Trespass, Royal Star, or Eleus. On Riccarton form last Saturday, Murihaupo should win the Champagne Stakes, with Wild Hind and Razzle Dazzle next. Contempt appears to be well in at 8.13 in the Berwick Handicap. Ineursio and Barmaid will keep her busy, while Windermere may effect a surprise.

In the Stewards’ Handicap Lord Ashlea, Lady Blissful and Some Kid should be in front at the winning post, but the uncertainty attached to the sports helps to keep it interesting.
