Removal from the district was the reason Mr A. Wood declined re-elec-tion as Secretary of the Winter Show Society at the annual meting last night. He stated that he had accepted a position in Timaru and would be leaving Waimate the next day. The meetnig decided to record on the minutes the good work Mr Woods had done for the Society while holding the position. Bn speaking to the motion, Mr Paul (President) said Mr Woods had bean, invaluable to the Society. He had to take up the work under difficulties and though a' new’ man to the jpb> had carried out his duties exceptionally well. *(La Tne following are the matriculation results for the Waimate district.
