TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND. MACLAREN’S TEAM. CHRISTCHURCH, May 24. Mr Peake, secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, states that the English cricketers’ tour of the Dominion under Maclaren, will be a M.C.C. team. Originally it was intended to open the tour in New Zealand, but at Maclaren’s request it was agreed that the team should play first in Australia, arriving in New Zealand at the end of November. The Dominion tour would extend over eight weeks, at the conclusion of which the team would return to Australia for a further series of matches. The New Zealand Council practically agreed with the Australian Associations as to the conditions governing the matches in the Commonwealth, and D.
