BROKEN HILL MINES.
EXHAUSTIVE REPORT. Per Press Association—Coty right), Sydney, This Day. An authoritative report on the geological survey of the Broken Hill mining fields, extending over four years states that the outlook for lon glife of the mines on the line of the Barrier lode is good. It is estimated that 20,000,000 tons are available, which on the assumed depletion of 750,000 tons yearly will give life of 26 years to Broken Hill with its present population. Tli e report indicates the probability of the development of the mines prospecting dipclosing further extensive reserves of ore.
