At the meeting of the Waimate County Council to-day the chairman (Mr T. L. Hart), referring .to the pending departure of the County Clerk (Mr g. R. Wright), said that many of them did not recognise the arge amount of work that was done by Mr Wright. Mr Wright had had to do a lot of hard work recently in connection with the balance-sheet, and he thought it was only fair that the Council should recognise his services. He had much pleasure in moving that AD Wright be granted two weeks’ additional holiday on full Pay. Mr Bitchener, M.P., also paid a tribute to his services, the motion emg earned unanimously.
