The most spectacular man-hunt for years occurred, when all traffic was diverted from Twentieth Street and Fifth Avenue, where the police surrounded the Textile warehouse. Detectives crossed the roofs into the fourth storey and finally arres'ted four of the city’s leading criminals, two of whom slid down the greased elevator pillars. Loot worth four thousand sterling was. recovered. Crowds numbering many thousands watched the police siege.
