TAWAI. (From our own Correspondent). On Friday evening last, a most en-
joyable social was held in the Tawai School, the proceeds of which are to be devoted to the school sports’ fund. As it was a clear moonlight night, ther e was a splendid attendance, and all appeared to have a most enjoyable time. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mr C. Pelvin, and Mr Bob Smellie made a efficient M C Songs by Mrs J. Pelvin, and . stepdances by Mi- J. Brohan were much appreciated.
Rani is badly wanted here. The ground has been practically unploughable, most of the teams in the district being idle. The butter market is much improved lately, and the I'//” ” Oa ” aru ’ paying out 1/4. This month this price ha s been ve ”'
