OBITUARY.

MR E. KELLETT M.P. Press Assn.—By Tel.—Copyright. DUNEDIN, May 15. Mr Edward Kellett M.P., for Dunedin North, who has been ailing for some months, and who underwent a serious operation for an internal complaint six weeks ago, died to-night, aged 57. He is survived by a widow and six of a family, the youngest, being five years of age. [Before entering Parliament as a Labour member, Mr Kellett was secretary to the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners. He also took a prominent part in the W.E.A. movement in Dunedin.. During the war he acted as a member of a Military Appeal Board and took ;ir> active part tn stimulating recruiting. Mr Kellett was returned for the Dunedin North electorate at last General Election.].
