SURPLUS PURCHASE PROPOSAL FAVOURED BY AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT Melbourne, this day. The Federal Cabinet, considered the question of the surplus better stocks in England. Mr Hughes announced that the Government had favourably considered the suggestion to give financial backing to the purchase, by the Australian dairymen, of the surplus Australian butter iu the Imperial pool.
