(Received after edition goes to iress). Mr M. J. Reardon, secretary of the Freezing Workrs, says that certain. ' delegates to the meat pool conference at Wellington suggest that Parliament should interfere with the frezing workrs’ award. Mr Rardon says they are labouring under a delusion, as the terms of the award cannot be altered for two years; but it is unfortunate for the workrs in th industry that this is not so. He points out that in jusice io Mr Frazer i has been repeatedly stated that variations can be made by the ■ Arbitration Court, not only of the bonus but also of the basic rate.
