DOUGLAS. SCHOOL PRIZE LIST. The following is the list of prizes awarded at the prize-giving ceremony in connection with the breakup of the Douglas School for the Christmas holidays:— Standard 6. —Edith Kinsman, pro fieieney and first in sewing. Standard 4.—Highest marks in school for the girls, Nora Neil, also sewing prize; highest marks in school, for boys, Clarence Kinsman; proficiency, Clarence Hampton. Standard 3. —Ethel Cross, proficiency and sewing. Standard 2. —Bell Bartlett, John Bartlett. z Standard I.—Lance Cross, Arthur Kinsman, Dorothy Patterson, sewing and proficiency; Leslie Connor. P.4.—Florrie Bartlett, Rita Patter son, Cyril Smith, Percy Connor, Cliff Patterson. P.3.—Joy Neill, Leonie Williams, Jessie Bartlett, Jack Ponsonby, Dave Pohsonby, Roddie Bartlett. P-2. —Hazel Cross, Dulcie Smythe. P-2. —Myra Williams, Gordon Bartlett, Gordon O’Connor, Lewis Hansen, Jim Ponsonby. Miss Rawstorn’s special prize for progress through the year was won by Dorothy Patteson. Garden prize, given by Mrs Rawstorn (Timaru), Clarence Kinsman and Clarence Hampton 1, Bill Bartlett and Arthur Kinsman 2. WAIHAORUNGA. SCHOOL ■ PRIZE-GIVING. On Thursday last the annual break up and prize-giving ceremony of the Waihaorunga School took place. In the absence of Mr Whatman, the prizes were presented by Mrs Whatman. -Mr J. C. Hurst, in his remarks, spoke of the good work done during the year. The ladies provided afternoon tea, and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent.
