THE PUBLIC LIBRARY.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The Committee of the Waimate Publie Library met last Thursday night. Present: Messrs S. J. Hitchens (in the ehair), A. Henderson, Buckingham, and 11. B. Reid Hon. secretary).
The secretary reported that £4 19s had been realised as the result of the picture benefit.
The Librarian (Miss I. Strong) reported that three yearly and one half yearly subscribers had joined, and that the sum of £l2/7/- had been handed to the treasurer. The report was adopted.
