Obituary.

MRS H. DOHRMANN.

It is with sincere regret that we record the death of Mrs Dohrmann, wife of Mr H. Dohrmann, of Studholme, which occurred at Mrs Henderson’s private hospital yesterday. Deceased, who was 33 years of age, was the daughter (Elsie) of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Low, of Willowbridge, and her parents came here when the Studholme freehold bluet was divided and taken up, about eleyei years jago. She remained for sow time at Canterbury College, where she was then pursuing a course oi study that was completely paid for out of a scholarship she won when a girl of 12 years. Mrs Dohrmann passed the examination for the M.A. degree whilst at Canterbury College, securing double second class honours. Subse quently she taught at Wairaate and Napier High Schools, finally coming here about nine years ago. Deceased was the first president of the Waimalf Branch of the W.C.T.U., and held the post of secretary and treasurer till two years ago, when failing healtl compelled her to relinquish the duties. Although the end was not unexpected the patient’s condition last week was such as to give some hope. Mr Dohr mann is doubly bereaved, having jusl recently lost a sister at Oxford, Nortt Ca terbury. *
